It’s been all hands on deck this week, deadlines, bug fixing (hi Wordpress), launching new products (hi Bobbin) and seeing mates.

What did I enjoy?
I finally dragged myself out of a social funk and went to see my friends in Sheffield. Since almost exclusively working remotely my social life has taken a huge hit, I’m very much a social butterfly but more recently I’ve slipped into doing nothing, barely leaving the house on some weeks and doing the minimum. This, compared to “office” Mikey isnt normal, it’s not my normal and it has taken a huge push from my wife, mates and kids to get me out and about.

I’m not sure what it is, but I don’t feel down, or out - I think I have got myself into a rut of “working, working and doing more work”, which I know is such an easy thing to do when you are self-employed and running a family-led business but I have to now force time for me, for my friends and just get me more social.
What’s strange, if I see this behaviour in friends, I’m one of the first to call them out, drag them out and have a coffee (or drink of their choice) and get them talking - but, as is standard for this “rut” I didn’t see it happening until it was very bluntly discussed!

Get yourself mates who are willing to kick your arse now and then, find yourself a group of friends (my number is 3) who will ask questions and listen, which isn’t as popular as I’d hope.

Work wise: it’s been busy, it’s been a crunch - we need to get this thing done (feature-led) and get it done to a level of happiness for all - but with the huge finger-in-the-air, WE WILL REVISIT THIS LATER (which everyone has joined-in, maybe not with their finger in the air), so it’s been a challenge that has kind of been twisty-turny, ups and downs and yet wildly entertaining (and that’s me being honest)!

My wife has started rolling out new products in Bobbin and Bumble, photos needed as normal, supporting blog posts, social posts etc - but who needs sleep right? She’s kicking its arse and really going full throttle, I’m a huge fan.
